COTABATO CITY — Thousands of frontliners, persons with disabilities (PWDs), health workers and internally displaced persons received aid through the Livelihood, Intervention on Women, Medical Assistance and Oplan Assistance (LIMO) program of Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Member of the Parliament (MP) Sittie Shahara “Dimple” Ibrahim-Mastura.
MP Mastura spearheaded recently series of relief operations to at least three thousand frontliners and PWDs in the towns of Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Talayan, Guindulungan, Datu Hoffe, all in the province of Maguindanao and in the city of Cotabato.
“We distributed relief packs which contain three kilos of rice, noodles, canned goods, milk, and coffee. In addition, team LIMO also gave medical supplies such as alcohol, personal protective equipment suits, gloves, face masks and vitamins,” MP Mastura said.
MP Mastura shared the food packs and medical supplies were donated by Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, Pure Gold, other partners and friends from Manila and Malaysia.

“We are extremely thankful to the generosity of Senator Go, our various donors, partners and Team Salam for making this endeavor possible,” MP Mastura stressed.
In addition,MP Mastura said they also conducted separate relief operations in the towns of Upi, Kabuntalan, Northern Kabuntalan, and Datu Abdullah Sangki.
On the other hand, around eight hundred frontliners, persons with disabilities (PWDs) health workers and employees of Dr. Serapio B. Montañer Al-Haj Memorial Hospital and the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Barangay Mataling in Malabang, Lanao del Sur received food packs last June 05, 2020.
Aside from the food packs, hospital personnel and frontliners of Dr. Serapio B. Montañer Al-Haj Memorial Hospital also received personal protective equipment (PPE) suits, face masks, face shields, alcohols, gloves and vitamins.
In an interview, MP Mastura said food packs were distributed in cooperation with the municipal government of Malabang.
“We visited the IDPs in Barangay Mataling and distributed 57 assorted food packs from Pure Gold courtesy of Senator Christopher “Bong” Go. This activity is also through the initiative of LMP Maguindanao Chapter President and Sultan Kudarat municipality Mayor Datu Shameem Biruar Mastura,” MP Mastura said.
MP Mastura shared she felt sympathetic seeing the situation of the 57 displaced families who are now living inside hot tents with their children at Barangay Mataling due to a recent incident.
“The families here are so uncomfortable of their situation,” MP Mastura said.
In this regard, the local government of the various towns expressed gratitude to MP Mastura, LMP President Datu Shameem Biruar Mastura and most especially to Senator Christopher “Bong” Go for the relief assistance extended to them.
In a separate activity, around five hundred frontliners and PWDs from the municipalities of Kapatagan and Balabagan in Lanao del Sur also received relief packs from MP Mastura.
The lady Member of the Parliament also gave Puregold relief packs which contain rice, canned goods, noodles and biscuits to at least four thousand frontliners and PWDs in Jolo, Sulu and in the province of Tawi-Tawi.
Meanwhile, MP Mastura said after their relief operations in Sulu and Tawi-Tawi, they are set to visit the island province of Basilan to provide the same assistance. (GALao, BTA Parliament)
