PROTECTION FOR PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS IN TRYING TIMES
October 1, 2020

Cotabato City (October 1, 2020) – As we continue to fight against the global pandemic caused by the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the teachers will be considered as the new front liners in facing the challenges for the opening of the classes. Last August 14, Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Leonor Briones said that opening of classes will be on October 5, 2020.

With the global problem on CoViD-19, many constituents who are having below-average of the usual income facing challenge to complete its personal protection kit due to some reasons like limited supplies in our locality and the demand and prices are high. Along with, in facing the new challenges for the academic year 2020-2021, our private school teachers that belong to the average income and new front liners will be considered as the most challenged to deal with their duties and responsibilities. However, with the implementation of the different guidelines of teaching, our private school teachers are still competent to do their daily work to render services and to support one of the sustainable development goals (SDG) which is the quality education.
