BTA Bids and Awards Committee awards 2 projects since June

Cotabato City (October 2, 2020) – Following the constitution of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) under Memorandum Circular No. 15-2020 (OPS) dated May 29, 2020, the committee has awarded a total of two projects from June to September of this year.

The projects, conducted through public bidding, were ‘Security and Janitorial Services’ which was awarded to Ever Point Security and Investigation Agency Corporation with a given approved budget for the contract (ABC) amounting to P 3,645,000.00, and ‘’Supply and Delivery of Various Office Supplies’, which was awarded to Alnor Prime Properties Corporation with a given ABC amounting to P3,516,667.50.

BTA Parliament Secretary-General Prof. Raby B. Angkal, BAC Chairperson, has put emphasis that future work relationship of the BTA Parliament and every winning bidder shall be within the principle of BARMM Chief Minister’s call for ‘Moral Governance’ which dictates to do what is right.

He added, “in this way, we shall maintain good work relation that will contribute to the benefit of the Bangsamoro people.”

“The committee will continue to provide fair dealings with the bidders as we are guided by legal documents particularly the Republic Act 9184 otherwise known as Government Procurement Reform Act of 2020,” the Prof. Angkal further said.

The BAC currently has five ongoing procurements through public bidding, Supply and Delivery of Various Information Technology Equipment Part I, Supply and Delivery of Various Information Technology Equipment Part II, Supply and Delivery of Various Office Equipment, Furniture and Fixtures, Supply and Delivery of Two (2) Units Service Vehicles and One (1) Unit Pick-up, Supply and Delivery of One (1) Unit Dump Truck. The committee prescribes the necessary law, rules and regulation for the modernization, standardization and regulation of the procurement activities of the government. (RSolaiman, BTA Parliament)
