COTABATO CITY — As part of the week-long celebration of the second Bangsamoro Foundation Anniversary, the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament painted smiles across the faces of 125 orphans in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.
The BTA led by Secretary General Prof. Raby B. Angkal chose to spend some quality time on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 with less fortunate children from the orphanages of Markazul Aytam, Darul Muhsineen and Darul Hanan.
Angkal said each child received hygiene kits enclosed with alcohol, masks, fabric conditioner, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, bar soap, cotton buds, powder soap and face shield.
“The orphanages also received each 10 sacks of rice of 25 kilos, 100 pieces of sardines, 72 pieces of noodles, 72 pieces of pancit canton, 4 trays of egg, 6 kilos of sugar and prayer gowns for girls,” Angkal said.
Other officials present during the outreach program were BTA Sergeant-at-Arms Abdulgani Caludtiag and Dir. Jaime M. Ayub.
Meanwhile, BTA officials also had their share of priceless moments as they joined the kids with meal treats and accompanied them with parlor games. (GALao, Publication and Media Relations Division, BTA Parliament)
