The Bangsamoro Parliament passed the proposed P79.862 billion 2022 budget of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, a 6% increase from the total fund source amounting to P75.6 billion in 2021.
A bill that promotes and protects the rights of Human Rights defenders in the region was filed today, January 26, by Bangsamoro lawmakers.
Parliament Bill No. 165, also known as the Bangsamoro Human Rights Defenders Protection Act of 2021, is principally authored by Member of the Parliament Amilbahar Mawallil.
Eight members of the Bangsamoro Parliament filed a measure that would establish a Bangsamoro Research and Development Authority.
Member of the Bangsamoro Parliament Amilbahar Mawallil, principal author of the bill, said that the creation of the Authority would set the directions and priorities for scientific research policies in the region.

Some members of the Bangsamoro Parliament have filed a bill seeking to grant recognition and incentives to Bangsamoro topnotchers in board, bar, and other national licensure examinations.
