Cotabato City (March 31, 2020) – With the rising number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic cases in the country, the Bangsamoro Transition Authority  (BTA) Parliament postponed schedules of the next BTA regular sessions.

This is in compliance with the guidelines set by the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (COVID-19 IATF-BARMM) to take pre-emptive measures against the spread of the deadly COVID-19.

The Task Force said “all activities involving mass gathering shall be cancelled or postponed until further notice.”

COVID-19 IATF-BARMM was created on March 13 to formulate policies and design guidelines on practical measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. (Office of the Secretary-General, BTA Parliament)
