Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) visits Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament

COTABATO CITY – Headed by UK Ambassador to the Philippines, Laurie Beaufils, with WFD Consultant Lord Jack McConnell, and WFD Senior Program Manager for East and Pacific, Noami Barnard pays a courtesy visit to the BTA Parliament last  October 17, 2022.

WFD supports BTA in attaining its vision by providing support on programs aligned with BTA’s mandate for an efficient Interim Government.

Education, infrastructure, health, social services top priorities in proposed P83.5-billion 2023 BARMM budget

COTABATO CITY — Education, infrastructure, health, and social services are among the top budgetary priorities of the Bangsamoro government, as the proposed bill for the 2023 Bangsamoro Expenditure Program entered first reading on Wednesday, September 28. The budget has been increased to P83.5 billion in 2023 from P79.8 billion in 2022.BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim personally turned over the proposed budget to Bangsamoro Transition Authority Speaker Atty. Pangalian Balindong.

PBBM vows support for BARMM’s peace process

COTABATO CITY — Committing to support the peace process in the Bangsamoro region, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. made his first visit to the region after assuming office to lead the historic inauguration of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority.

“I assure the BTA and all the Bangsamoro people of this administration’s full and unwavering commitment to the peace process and the BARMM,” said President Marcos, Jr. on Thursday, September 15.

Bangsamoro Parliament holds inaugural session

COTABATO CITY —The newly appointed members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority formally convened for the inaugural session and election of the new set of officers of the Parliament today, September 15, in Cotabato City.

Atty. Pangalian Balindong was reelected unanimously as Speaker of the Parliament.
