Majority Floor Leader Ali extends aid to MILF combatants, Muslim communities

COTABATO CITY — The Office of Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament Majority Floor Leader Atty. Lanang Ali, Jr., spearheaded on Saturday, August 29, 2020 the distribution of relief goods to Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) combatants and various Muslim communities.

Ali said around 200 relief packs were distributed to select residents of Barangay Pinguiaman in Datu Odin Sinsuat town of Maguindanao.

“We extended our aid in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic crisis,” Ali said.

Ali added they also gave 120 relief goods to the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) – MILF Mujahideen situated in the municipalities of Sultan sa Barongis and Rajah Buayan.

“We also included the Muslim community of Salunayan and the 3rd Brigade IDF of 103rd Base Command,” he said.

Furthermore, the Bangsamoro community of Barangay Malengen in Libungan, Cotabato were also recipients of the relief operation.

Meanwhile, the Office of Majority Leader has been engaged in providing relief assistance to vulnerable sectors of the Bangsamoro region, whose livelihood were affected by the community quarantine imposed by local and national authorities to curb the spike of Coronavirus.
