COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Transition Authority, in partnership with the BARMM’s Ministry of Public Works, led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of different infrastructure projects and installed solar-powered street lights in selected areas in the region.

As part of the BTA’s Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF), the office of Engr. Aida Silongan installed around twenty (20) solar-powered street lights worth P800,000.00 to Jamiat Cotabato and Institute of Technology (JCIT) in Cotabato City.

“As they give the wisdom to strengthen the students’ Iman (faith), ours is light. We hope that this will help the students to keep striving for excellence in education and life,” MP Silongan said.

“This project is significant for us as it brought light into our compound. It will also help ease security concerns caused by dimly-lit streets,” Sheikh Saad Sindatok, President of JCIT, said.

This project, according to Sindatok, demonstrates that the Bangsamoro Government continues to deliver excellent services to its residents.

Meanwhile, the office of Abdulwahab Pak led the groundbreaking ceremony for various infrastructure projects in Maguindanao, including the construction of a multipurpose building and the installation of solar lights. 

These projects were supported by MPs Silongan and Pak’s Transitional Development Impact Fund project. (Publication and Media Relations Division)
